Oof, that second part seems like a pain. Thanks for this though -- For the glowstone part, don't forget a tool (with fortune?, not sure if it affects it) and efficiency because breaking those with a bare hand is not that fun when you need to collect 2k. Actually going to try this now ;D

It's definitely worth it. It would still be worth it even if it required you to collect 20k dust to unlock that recipe. Imagine collecting 20 stacks of dark oak logs in 3 minutes without trying hard...

By the way pickaxes dont enhance glowstone gathering speed, in fact, nothing does. I asummed Haste II would be useful so I equipped my Miner's outfit set but that didnt help either. I dont know about Fortune III because I didnt test it but it may help

fortune doesn't affect it. I don't even think the mining skill double ore bonus affects it

How to get those items:
--- Golden Axe
1- Mine/buy gold, craft golden axe.
2- Enchant with Efficiency V.

--- Haste III potion
1a- Get combat level 5 to unlock Blazing fortress.
1b- Kill blazes to get Blaze rods to craft Brewing Stands or buy them from Alchemist for 30g per.
1c- Farm nether warts in Blazing Fortress or buy them from Alchemist.
1d- Collect 2,000 glowstone dust to unlock Enchanted Glowstone recipe.
2- Buy sand from Farming merchant, smelt it into glass and craft bottles (costs 4g per) or just buy them from Alchemist for 6g per, then right click a water source to make Water Bottles.
3- Mine 250 coal to unlock Haste potion recipes.
4- Brew the potion by following this formula: Nether Wart --> Coal --> Enchanted Glowstone

you can do the same thing for cobblestone with an efficiency 5 golden pickaxe and a haste 3 effect

Now with the bazaar, you dont even need the combat levels to get the blaze rod, you can just order it from bazaar which makes it a lot easier for newer players.
